Limo Driver Charged With DWI In Long Island While Driving Family Home From Airport

A limo driver was recently arrested for driving while intoxicated in Suffolk County with passengers in his limo.

According to reports, the limo driver picked up a family of five from the John F. Kennedy Airport in Queens, NY and was driving the family to their home in Sayville, NY on Long Island when he was pulled over by law enforcement officers.

The man was driving eastbound on Sunrise Highway at approximately 8:55pm on Tuesday, September 20th, when he neared the scene of an unrelated accident on the highway. Police reports state that the Suffolk County Police Officer on the scene of the accident ordered the limo driver to pull over his vehicle after noticing that he had been driving erratically. However, the limo driver refused to pull over and instead he fled the scene of the accident.

The driver eventually pulled over his vehicle about half a mile later where he was arrested for driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest and aggravated DWI.

The officer was also charged with violating Leandra’s Law because he was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol with a child under the age of 15 in the vehicle.

Man Arrested For DWI After Driving The Wrong Way On Long Island Expressway

A man was arrested on DWI charges during the first week of September after being pulled over for driving the wrong way on the Long Island Expressway.

According to reports, the 23 year old motorist from Queens, NY was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of the Long Island expressway during the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, September 6th.

Highway Patrol officers tracked down the driver after several other motorists called 911 to report that a car was heading the wrong way on the Long Island Expressway.

The driver was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving below the minimum posted speed limit.

New Jersey Man Charged With DWI In Fatal Car Accident On Brooklyn-Queens Expressway

A man was charged with drunk driving and aggravated vehicular manslaughter after allegedly crashing into a car that was pulled over on the side of Interstate 278 in Brooklyn, NY.

Reports say that the driver was heading westbound on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway at about 3:30am on Monday, August 29th, when he smashed into a car that was pulled over on the side of the road.

A 49-year-old woman was standing in front of her vehicle that had broken down due to a flat tire when the allegedly drunk driver smashed into her vehicle.

The impact of the crash forced the woman off of the side of the elevated expressway and she subsequently fell down to the roadway below, suffering fatal injuries in the process.

The woman was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the BMW was charged with manslaughter, reckless driving and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

Long Island Man Arrested For Alleged DWI After Leaving Scene Of Fatal Accident In Port Jefferson Station, NY

A man from Long Island, NY was recently arrested on DWI charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of a fatal auto accident in Suffolk County.

Police say that a 31-year-old man was driving a Toyota Corolla southbound on Route 112 in Port Jefferson, NY when his vehicle was struck by a Nissan Maxima that was also heading southbound on Route 112.

According to reports, the 19-year-old driver behind the wheel of the Nissan Maxima fled the scene of the accident on foot, but he was apprehended by police shortly thereafter.

The 31-year-old man driving the Toyota Corolla was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident while his wife was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The 19-year-old driver is scheduled to appear in court to face the charges for his Long Island DWI arrest.
