Woman Suspected Of DUI & Leandra’s Law Violation In Greenvale, NY

DWI Vehicle Stop In New YorkA 29-year-old woman from Queens was arrested on Christmas morning for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after being pulled over by local police officers in the Long Island town of Greenvale, NY.

According to reports, law enforcement authorities stopped the woman’s vehicle at approximately 1:03 a.m. on Monday, December 25th, after the vehicle was seen speeding southbound on Glen Cove Road. Police pulled the vehicle over near the intersection of Glen Cove Road and Northern Boulevard. Reports state that the responding officers conducting the traffic stop had reason to believe that the 29-year-old woman was under the influence of alcohol.

Police also said that there was a 30-year-old woman in the passenger seat and an 11-year-old child in the back seat when the vehicle was stopped. As a result, the 29-year-old woman is charged  with aggravated DWI, endangering the welfare of a child. She was scheduled to be arraigned in the First District Court later in the week.

Drunk Driver Arrested After Car Accident In Coram, NY

A woman from Central Islip was recently arrested on DUI charges after crashing into a parked car in the Long Island town of Coram, NY.

According to reports, the woman was driving on Route 112 at approximately 12 a.m. on Friday, December 8th, when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a pick-up truck that was parked. The woman’s vehicle then continued after striking the pick-up truck until the vehicle struck a tree and ultimately landed on its side.

Police arrived at the scene of the accident where they found the woman with her 10-month-old daughter in the vehicle. The mother and daughter were taken to the nearby Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Police reports show that the mother was charged with DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated DWI, driving without a license and Leandra’s Law violations.

Man Arrested For DUI After Crashing Into Parked Cars In Brooklyn, NY

car hit by a drunk driverA man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into several parked vehicles in Brooklyn, NY.

Police arrested the 33-year-old driver at approximately 1 a.m. after he slammed into four parked vehicles near the intersection of 18th Avenue and 61st Street.

According to authorities, the driver refused to submit to a roadside breathalyzer test when police arrived at the scene of the accident. He was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn to be treated for injuries and was ultimately charged with DWI as well as driving without a license.

Teen Passenger Killed In Chinatown Crash Involving DWI Driver

A 17-year-old was killed in a car accident involving a drunk driver on Tuesday, December 26th. According to reports, the teenager was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed in the Chinatown neighborhood of Manhattan, NY.

The 22-year-old driver of the vehicle was taken to Bellevue Hospital to be treated for injuries that he suffered in the crash and was charged with DWI.

Off-duty NYC Health Department Driver Arrested On DUI Charges After Car Crash In Lower Manhattan

An off-duty driver for the city Health Department was arrested for drunk driving in Lower Manhattan after being involved in a car accident on Wednesday, December 27th.

According to officials, the 64-year-old man was driving on FDR Drive near the Brooklyn Bridge at approximately 2:45 p.m. when he crashed his vehicle. Police arrived at the scene of the accident and administered a breath test which allegedly showed the man’s blood alcohol content to be .125%. He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.
