Intoxicated Driver Arrested After Fleeing Scene Of Accident Near Green Acres Mall In Valley Stream, NY
According to reports, the 24-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on Sunrise Highway at approximately 10:05 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15th, when he turned onto Green Acres Road and allegedly sideswiped two other vehicles that were stopped at a red light.
Law enforcement officials from Nassau County say that the driver fled the scene of the accident before he was eventually stopped and arrested by police officers. An investigation of the incident found that the driver was intoxicated at the time of the accident. Police reports also show that law enforcement officers at the scene found a black handgun, ammo and “a substance believed to be crack cocaine.”
The man was ultimately charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
Famous Rapper Fetty Wap Arrested On DWI Charges In Brooklyn, NY
The famous American rapper Willie Maxwell II, more commonly known by his stage name Fetty Wap, was recently arrested on DUI charges in Brooklyn, New York.
According to news reports, the 26-year-old rapper was arrested in Brooklyn on Friday, November 3rd, after police saw his vehicle heading westbound on the Gowanus Expressway near Hamilton Avenue at approximately 1:00 a.m. Law enforcement officers from the NYPD pulled the vehicle over after reportedly observing the vehicle driving at very high speeds.
Fetty Wap allegedly presented the NYPD officers with an expired license and reportedly showed signs of intoxication when his vehicle was stopped. The famous rapper was ultimately arrested on charges of DWI, reckless endangerment unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and several other offenses. Nassau County Police Arrest Drunk Driver In Cedarhurst, NY
Nassau County police recently arrested a man on DWI charges after he allegedly crashed his vehicle in the Long Island town of Cedarhurst, NY. According to reports, the 20-year-old driver from Queens was heading near the intersection of West Broadway and Bayview Avenue during the early hours of Tuesday, November 21, when he allegedly lost control of his vehicle and veered into a pole on the side of the road.
Police say that there were a total of five passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Two of the passengers involved in the accident suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. The 20-year-old driver was arrested on DWI charges and two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
Queens Man Arrested For Driving While Intoxicated In Hempstead, NY
A 56-year-old man from Queens was recently arrested and charged with DWI after allegedly driving drunk with his two young children in the vehicle. According to reports, local police officers observed the man perform two illegal U-turns on Wednesday, November 8th, while driving on Terrace Avenue in the town of Hempstead, NY. The officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Jackson Street and North Franklin Street where they reportedly noticed signs of intoxication.
There were three other passengers in the vehicle including the driver’s one-year-old daughter and his three-year-old daughter. As a result, the man was arrested and charged with DWI Leandra’s Law and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child which carry harsher penalties than a standard DWI charge.
Man Arrested For Drunk Driving After Striking Two Pedestrians In The Long Island Town Of Bay Shore, NY
A 33-year-old man was recently arrested on intoxicated driving charged after allegedly striking two pedestrians with his vehicle on Long Island. According to reports, the man was driving a pickup truck and tried to leave a parking lot located at 2175 Union Boulevard when he allegedly struck a man. The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m., police say.
Witnesses say that the man continued to drive his pickup truck and hit a building in the parking lot before striking his brother. The brother was reportedly admitted to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. Additionally, others who were hit along with others injured in
Police Stop Vehicle For Speeding & Arrest Driver On DWI Charges In Westchester County, NY
New York State troopers arrested a 28-year-old man after pulling him over for speeding in the town of Harrison in Westchester County, New York.
According to reports, the driver was stopped by police officers on I-287 at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 5th. State Troopers reportedly noticed signs of intoxication while conducting the traffic stop and also found 2.3 grams of cocaine in the man’s vehicle.
The driver was arrested on charges of DUI and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Harrison Court in December for the arraignment process and proceed with the case.
Man From Yonkers Faces DWI Charges After Routine Traffic Stop
A 28-year-old man from Yonkers was recently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after being pulled over by New York State troopers. According to reports, law enforcement officers conducted the traffic stop at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18th. The police officers on the scene reportedly detected signs of intoxication while conducting the traffic stop. The man was arrested and allegedly submitted to a chemical test which showed a that he had a BAC of 0.18%.
The man was arrested on DWI charges and later released on his own recognizance.
